Hello, I'm Simon, these are just a few example of my favourite moments from recent weddings which I believe best illustrate my style and show you the stories and details I love to capture. I love black and white so always deliver an identical set of both colour and black and white photos so you can choose which you prefer. Also, if you'd like to see a larger selection from just one wedding (as an idea of what full day coverage looks like) please just ask.
My favourite moment in photography was just that, a moment, it was the moment that I realised that I was stood in the middle of two people on the most memorable day of their life.
I believe the benefit of having a me as your photographer is that you’ll feel relaxed, absolutely the last thing you need to think about on the day is the photos or the photographer, I want you to enjoy your day.
Your day is unique and individual, and this is the way I will treat it. I don’t have any particular way of doing things. We'll meet first, as many times as you need, so that I’ll fit in with the way you want things done. I'd like to part of the journey not the type of photographer that turns up with his camera bag and asks what you need him to do.
You will look stunning on your wedding day, and my goal is to capture that forever. Telling your story is really important so I’ll be there all day, from getting ready through to the speeches and into the evening; as long as you'd like.
Digital images are incredible, but I don't want to just deliver you a USB stick of images you can share on Facebook. I’d like to create some beautiful images for your wall, crafted on the day with lighting and scenery; art.
I’d like to produce a reportage style wedding album, printed to your exacting standards, not a book of 5x7 prints but the story.
I will of course give you a vast selection of photos on a USB drive, the relevance of which will only become apparent years later when you flick back through them; forgotten faces and lost friends will return.
I agree, charges for photography always look high, but "consider the longevity of these expensive services. The alcohol, food, and cake get flushed down the drain (quite literally). The venue and accommodations will serve as faint backdrops to your memories. The flowers will wilt and decorations, tossed away. The entertainment will be a ringing in your ears the following morning. Your makeup will be washed away and the hair slept on. Your wedding dress will remain, but there will never again be a practical occasion to wear it. Of all these unnecessary, impractical, and conspicuous expenses, the photo and video documents hold the most utility. Their value increases with time, having an inverse relationship to your recollection of the day."
