Our first stop on the safari was this viewing platform. There was a sailing race (is that the technical term?) about to start so the area was rather packed but people are amazing and with some gentle persuasion gave us a few minutes to grab some shots. You can see from the shadows how bright and hard the light was, but after a little bit of “move 3cm to the left, 1 cm more, now lean a little towards me, tip your head down Ben” I managed to find a small slither of shadow and even use the light bouncing off Ben’s hat to illuminate Emily’s face. Bright sunny days are a wedding photographer’s least favourite, but if we are any good we’ll know what to do.
